AI customer service agent

An AI customer service agent that drafts the reply and lets your team approve it.

Most support volume is the same handful of questions — where is my order, can I return this, did my address change save. An AI customer service agent handles those in your tone, pulling real data from Shopify, so your team spends its time on the conversations that actually need a person.

What it handles

  • Order status and “where is my order” — pulling the real tracking and delivery estimate from Shopify.
  • Shipping updates, delays and address changes before dispatch.
  • Return and refund questions, checked against your policy.
  • Product and sizing questions answered from your own catalogue and pages.
  • Drafting replies in your store's tone, ready for a one-click approve or edit.

What stays human

  • Angry or escalating customers who need a person, not a policy.
  • Exceptions and goodwill decisions that fall outside the rules.
  • Anything that moves money — refunds, credits, cancellations — without an explicit approval step.
  • Legal, safety, chargeback and fraud situations.
  • Your best accounts, where the relationship matters more than the speed.

How it fits your stack

Built into the tools you already use.

The agent reads order, fulfilment and customer data from your Shopify store through the Admin API, and works inside your existing support inbox or helpdesk — it does not ask your customers to learn a new chat widget. It can also run order-ops messaging over WhatsApp and SMS, part of the wider set of AI agents for Shopify we build.

Because we run our own support for ChargebackWiz, we build these agents the way we would want to use them: cautious by default, clear about what they did, and easy to switch off for any category you would rather keep human.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Will it reply to customers automatically without me seeing it?

Only if you want it to. The default is human-in-the-loop: the agent drafts the reply and your team approves or edits it with one click. You can let it auto-send the safe, high-volume categories (like order-status) once you trust it, and keep everything else on approval.

What does an AI customer service agent connect to?

Your Shopify store for order, fulfilment and customer data, and your support inbox or helpdesk for the conversations [VERIFY: the specific helpdesks we integrate with, e.g. Gmail, Gorgias, Zendesk]. It can also work over WhatsApp and SMS for order-ops messaging.

How long does setup take?

A fixed-price pilot builds one working agent in about 14 days. You watch it run on your real conversations before you pay the balance, so you are approving something that already works, not a promise.

Is our customer data safe?

The agent runs against your own accounts and store. We do not train anything on your data, and you can revoke access at any time. It reads what it needs to answer a specific question and nothing more.

What happens when it does not know the answer?

It hands off. A good agent recognises the edge of its competence and routes the conversation to a human with the context already gathered, rather than guessing. Knowing what to escalate is part of the build.
